Welcome to EDUC 4000
Media and Digital Literacy

This course is offered during the Professional Year of study at the Faculty of Education at Lakehead University, Orillia. This course web site will become the repository and starting point for our explorations, investigations and collaborations with media and digital literacies. This course site will evolve and grow as the course develops. It will become a valuable resource for teaching and learning about media in the classroom, digital technologies in education and integrating both into your work as an educator.

Picture
The image selected for this WELCOME page shows a child's hand reaching out to one of several bubbles floating on the air. Just as educators reach out to students, in our efforts to bring knowledge to their worlds, each student we touch is a shining bubble, floating through a media rich, digital world. Approaching each topic, idea and concept with careful planning and thought ensures that those bubbles continue to grow and flourish.
